The Monmouth Community Players is an organization that strives to promote the love of theater and of community, for ALL. As an organization, we encourage and invite anyone to join us in our endeavor to provide theater for our community.
We stand with the Black Community and many others who are currently fighting against racism and oppression. Those beliefs have no home with us. We support anyone that is working towards promoting peace and justice for everyone.
While our doors are closed right now, know that we stand with you. We stand with all those working to provide a voice to the marginalized populations, and we support those working to promote universal peace, acceptance, and freedom. We will continue to work towards teaching ourselves and others about recognizing and preventing acts of racism and violence- and promoting an atmosphere of tolerance and support.
The Monmouth Community Players would like to express our sincerest gratitude and thanks to our patrons, community, and volunteers for their unwavering support and contributions to our organization. The health and wellness of our cast and crew, volunteers, and community are of the utmost importance to us. In light of Governor Mills strong recommendation for social distancing, limiting crowds to less than 250 people, and the continued closure of many school districts throughout the state, we have decided to postpone our production of The Addams Family, originally scheduled to perform April 17-26, 2020. Once we have confirmed new dates for our production, we will announce those publicly.
To that end, we will be closing ticket sales for our current production. We will be refunding all sales of purchased tickets. If you have any questions about ticket refunds, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call at 207-370-9566. Refunds will come through Brown Paper Tickets. Once new dates for the production are secured, we will post a new event with tickets available for purchase.
In addition, we encourage everyone to use caution in the next few weeks by participating in social distancing as much as possible. Wash your hands with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds after coughing and sneezing and before eating, and if you are sick, continue to distance yourself until you are no longer symptomatic. Together we can all overcome this health crisis. We wish you all well, and hope that you stay safe and healthy in this uncertain time.
